  • David Jager

David Jager was born in the small northern California town of Santa Rosa, but felt an immediate pull towards New York City. He has worked as a line cook, manager of an oddities museum, singing telegram man, jazz & burlesque pianist, crooner, and a writer. David currently writes arts and culture essays and reviews for the New York Sun, Tablet Magazine, County Highway, and Whitehot Magazine of Contemporary art, among others. He tries to play piano and sing whenever he can. For his sins he now lives precariously and at long last in Manhattan's Lower East Side.
