Last May, Special Counsel John Durham released a 306-page report on foreign interference in the 2016 presidential election, which included his findings about the Clinton Foundation’s controversial relationship with overseas donors. During that year’s campaign, journalists and researchers uncovered abundant evidence that suggested Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and her husband Bill had helped promote the business interests of contributors as a quid pro quo for their cash. Donald Trump made the Foundation’s operations a centerpiece of his attacks on “Crooked Hillary” and after taking office, following his upset victory, his attorney general William Barr appointed Durham to look into the matter. Durham didn’t recommend criminal prosecutions related to the Clinton Foundation.
